STEM education has been building momentum over the last decade or so, with many schools and districts across the United States incorporating these subjects into their curricula. But what is STEM education? And what benefits does it offer?


STEM education is an educational approach that focuses on four subjects which are Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. STEM not only teaches skills in these subjects, but it also creates an interest in them. This encourages students to enter fields that require STEM skills like engineering, computer science, and more. The benefits of this are endless!


To succeed in the future job market, it will be important to develop skills such as problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration. STEM education provides students with opportunities to develop these skills which will prepare them for life outside of school.

We believe rewarding students would increase their motivation to study STEM subjects. Students across the board have been increasingly less motivated to take part in extracurricular activities. In order to encourage students to participate in these activities, schools should offer tangible rewards such as a cash prize or reward tokens for the winners of a competition. This can create more competition among students and make them want to win the prize more than ever before. Society as whole benefits with a larger population familiar with the STEM subjects.
